Since your apartment is equipped with a balanced ventilation system (specifically the WHR 930 heat recovery unit) your cooker hood is motorless.

Be aware, however, that to ensure cooking air is indeed being extracted  you have to slide the switch next to the slide switch for the lighting (see the arrow on the picture above) to the right in order to open the duct of your cooker hood!  Additionally, for effectively sucking out of your cooking air from your kitchen, put the three-position switch of your ventilation system on position 3 during cooking and for some time as needed after your cooking efforts!
